Streamsheets

Digital transformation for practitioners

At the Hannover Messe, Cedalo AG is presenting an end-user-friendly solution for analysing, simulating and visualizing sensor and machine data and for controlling digital processes. The solution is based on so-called streamsheets, which at first glance are reminiscent of Microsoft Excel or Google spreadsheets.

Unlike classic spreadsheets, however, streamsheets are server processes that run continuously and were specially designed for automated analyses and control based on event-based message protocols and cyclical processing.

Streamsheets enable specialist users to model event-based microservices in the field of Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT. Due to its high level of flexibility, the Cedalo solution is equally suitable for the analysis and visualization of IoT-based data as well as for the simulation of data streams or actuators or sensors that may not yet be available. Streamsheets run in the cloud, "on-premises" in Docker containers or even on the Raspberry Pi.

Another strength of streamsheets is the ability to connect and network different data sources and M2M protocols. In addition, rule-based actions can be triggered and data can be automatically forwarded to third-party systems without the need for manual interaction.

Typical areas of application are the modeling of automated or autonomous transformation, analysis, communication or control processes, which previously had to be implemented by experts using special modeling tools, scripting or classic programming in Java, Python or other programming languages. With Cedalo Streamsheets, processes and analyses can be implemented at much lower cost and in a much shorter time. Streamsheets are therefore also very suitable for prototyping, proof-of-concept and training.

Cedalo Streamsheets act as an OPC UA server and also offer connectors for Apache Kafka, MQTT, REST and AMQP. Classic fieldbuses, IO-Link and other communication protocols can be connected via field gateways.

Cedalo AG is represented at the Hannover Messe with 2 stands: Hall 17, Stand B68 (Young Tech Enterprises) and at the Industry 4.0 joint stand of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Hall 6, C18. Cedalo AG is a prize winner in the competition "100 Places for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Württemberg".
