5,000 series with new leadership
Zimmer is expanding its 5000 gripper series with a pneumatic model range that includes variants with steel-in-steel guides as well as steel-aluminum profile groove guides.
The grippers with the designation GPP/GPD5000AL thus expand the product range with two-jaw parallel grippers and three-jaw centric grippers. The company guarantees up to 15 million gripping cycles without maintenance. In addition to the new variant, the gripper series consists of the GPP/GPD5000 and GPW5000 models, which are pneumatically driven, the pneumatic-electric hybrid grippers GPP/GPD5000IL and a purely electric version, the GEP/GED5000. Depending on the model, the grippers comply with protection classes IP40 to IP67. Magnetic field sensors can be inserted from the side without having to dismantle the gripper.
Another advantage is that they do not protrude beyond the C-slot and the grippers can therefore be mounted flush against each other. The sensors are available in 5-meter cable versions with an open strand end and 0.3 meters with an M8 connector.
Zimmer will be exhibiting this range at Intec 2019.
