Cycloidal gears for welding applications

For use in welding robots or positioners in welding systems, Nabtesco, manufacturer of cycloidal gears, offers high-performance gear solutions that are characterized by precision, dynamics and robustness.

According to the company, the cycloidal design of Nabtesco 's gearboxes makes them particularly precise, dynamic, durable and compact. They enable fast acceleration and deceleration and position with high precision with a play of less than one angular minute. Welding points - even complicated geometric structures - in the hundredths of a millimeter range can be welded with pinpoint accuracy without having to unclamp and reclamp the workpiece. In addition, the gears are insensitive to vibrations and can absorb high impact loads (up to 5 times the nominal torque).

The RS, RV-C and RD_-C series hollow shaft gearboxes in particular have proven themselves in countless welding applications worldwide thanks to their precision, dynamics and reliability. The generously dimensioned hollow shaft offers sufficient space for cables and supply lines. Inside the cycloidal gearbox, they are not only optimally accommodated, but also optimally protected against external influences.

The RS series: solution for positioners and rotary tables

The RS series gearboxes are designed for axial loads of up to 9 t and position even the heaviest loads with high precision. The cast-iron base can be easily mounted on the floor and ensures a stable stand. The motor is mounted at a right angle and is therefore easily accessible. Thanks to their stable, hard-wearing design and high performance, RS eccentric gearboxes are far superior to conventional camshaft and worm gearboxes - ideal for use in rotary tables and positioners.

The RV-C series: Powerhouses with high precision

The RV-C series installation kits are the first choice for demanding applications that require maximum precision. They offer high torsional and tilting rigidity and achieve particularly high repeatability and path accuracy. The large, integrated angular contact ball bearings of the gearboxes absorb external forces and torques and also extend the service life. There is no need for on-site bearings and the associated production costs for the bearing mounts.

The RD_-C series: versatile and powerful

With the RD_-C series, Nabtesco has high-performance and extremely precise servo gearboxes in its range. They are available as coaxial (RDS-C), parallel shaft (RDP-C) or angular gearboxes (RDR-C). Thanks to this versatility and their enormous performance, there are many possible applications. Nabtesco always supplies the gearboxes in the RD_-C series pre-filled with lubricant and fully encapsulated. They have a built-in adapter plate for the motor and a motor shaft coupling for servomotors. This reduces the time required for design and assembly.
