PRAFS replaces manual component positioning with robot-controlled holding technology. The universal robot-supported multi-support system was developed by measuring specialist Protos-3D Metrology. The system stores several thousand different setups (holding positions for components), which can be called up from the component list via a touch panel. Once a component has been selected, the robots move to the loading positions. The part is inserted and the measuring process is started at the touch of a button. It takes less than a minute to switch between different component types. The measuring process is fast and reproducibility is high. PRAFS replaces mechanical clamping devices.
