Kontron has introduced a powerful workstation for use in industrial environments and medical technology. With its industrial-grade design, the HPW 410 high-performance workstation is suitable for power-hungry applications and continuous operation in demanding industrial environments, says the manufacturer.

It offers space for up to three GPGPU plug-in cards, which predestines the workstation for applications in industrial image processing as well as for the evaluation of imaging procedures in the medical field, for example. The system handles computing-intensive processes and large amounts of data effortlessly and quietly, which also qualifies the workstation for use in noise-sensitive areas close to people. The HPW 410 relies on powerful processors from the Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 series with up to 256 gigabytes of memory, optionally with or without ECC error correction.

The workstation is designed for continuous use in particularly demanding environments. It is highly resistant to shock and vibration and can be operated in an extended temperature range from zero to 50 degrees Celsius. The workstation supports the operating systems Windows Server 2012 R2 as well as Windows 7/10 and Red Hat Linux. as
