Wireless bridge between store floor and IIoT

In the digitalized factory, a seamless flow of data and information is essential. If mobile systems and means of transportation are used here, the signals must be transmitted by radio.

Steute's Wireless division has developed a wireless network solution for this purpose. The system, called Nexy, transmits data from switching devices and sensors in the field to the Internet of Things (IIoT) or other higher-level IT systems.

At Motek 2021, Steute will be demonstrating to trade visitors the efficiency gains that can be achieved with wireless communication via Nexy. One example: wireless sensors specially developed for this task detect the presence of containers in mobile Kanban racks. As soon as the specified minimum stock level is reached, a replenishment order is automatically triggered. The fill level views can be visualized on all web-based end devices.
