Measurement technology for embedded designs

Rohde & Schwarz will be presenting its measurement technology for embedded designs in the automotive sector, for high-speed digital interfaces and Bluetooth at Embedded World. Solutions for power, EMC and power integrity measurements will also be on show at the leading trade fair, and the company will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of its oscilloscopes.

Rohde & Schwarz will be demonstrating measurement solutions for the automotive sector, including compliance tests for 100/1000-GBit/s automotive Ethernet with a high-performance oscilloscope from the RTP family. A compact and flexible test solution for automotive battery management systems is available especially for developers in the field of electric vehicles.

Measurement solutions for wireless and high-speed digital interfaces

In the wireless sector, the testers of the CMW platform simplify the testing of Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) devices and wearables. Rohde & Schwarz has developed various Bluetooth LE test solutions that perform RF tests without control cables via the air interface. With a simple setup, these enable fast pre-conformance tests over the air or measurements in shielded chambers.

The high-performance oscilloscopes of the RTP family with measurement bandwidths up to 16 GHz are ideal for signal integrity tests on high-speed digital interfaces. They have integrated time-domain reflectometry (TDR) and time-domain transmissometry (TDT) measurement functions and feature real-time de-embedding, in which the high-precision trigger system also immediately accesses the cleaned signal without bandwidth limitation.

EMC measurement solutions

In the field of EMC, the company is presenting an entry-level solution for measuring radiated and conducted interference based on the FPC1000 spectrum analyzer and the user-friendly Elektra EMI test software.

The company is also presenting the portable spectrum analyzer FPL1000, which is suitable for a wide range of tasks with its measurement functions, for example for EMC pre-compliance measurements, the analysis of analog and digital signals or for scalar network analysis.

In embedded designs, it is also important that the individual modules receive the correct power supply at the right time and in the right sequence. The RTE oscilloscope in combination with two broadband RT-ZVC probes is the ideal solution for power sequencing measurements. This allows up to 20 voltages to be analyzed simultaneously.

10 years of market entry oscilloscopes

Rohde & Schwarz is also celebrating a special anniversary at embedded world 2020: 10 years ago, the company launched its first two oscilloscope series on the market. The company is now a successful full-range supplier in this field with eight device families and frequency ranges up to 16 GHz as well as probe options and software applications.

Rohde & Schwarz is taking the anniversary as an opportunity to give away ten of the popular R&S RTB2000 oscilloscopes throughout the year. To win one of the instruments, interested parties must describe the application for which they would like to use an oscilloscope from the Rohde & Schwarz portfolio and what makes it special.
