System box from Turck
Starter kit for IO-Link
With Turck's IO-Link system box consisting of I/O module, sensors and signal lamp, users can get to know the advantages of the communication standard.
Turck is now offering a compact starter kit to users who want to familiarize themselves with all the benefits of the IO-Link digital communication protocol. With the IO-Link devices contained in the box, interested parties can set up an independent system and experience the technology in practice.
In addition to Turck's TBEN-S IO-Link master with four universal PNP channels, the set includes an RGB signal light and two sensors: the BI10U inductive uprox sensor and the RU40U ultrasonic sensor. In addition to user data, the IO-Link devices also provide maintenance data for monitoring the condition of machines and systems. The starter kit also includes a 230-volt power supply unit, compatible cables (M12-M12 and M8-Ethernet-RJ45) and a USB memory stick for easier commissioning. Among other things, users will find the PACTware adjustment software as well as all IO device descriptions (IODD) and an IODD DTM interpreter on the data carrier.
Using Simple IO-Link Device Integration (SIDI), the devices can also be integrated into Profinet systems without additional software. Turck's IO-Link masters not only store all in-house IO-Link devices and those of optoelectronics partner Banner Engineering in the SIDI library, but also devices from third-party manufacturers. The integration of other manufacturers is also possible on request. This means that the IO-Link devices can be selected in the hardware catalog of a programming environment such as the TIA Portal as if they were sub-modules of an I/O system. Important properties and parameters, such as measuring ranges, output signals or pulse rates, can be changed in the plain text field. as
