Remote maintenance with 4G

The Ewon Cosy remote maintenance router from HMS is now also available in a version for 4G LTE (Europe, North America). All models also support a notification function.

If an alarm occurs, users are informed by email or text message about which event in their system triggered the alarm, where and when. Users can configure to which employee or service technician the notifications should be sent. The notification function is part of a firmware update for the Ewon Cosy 131 product range, which also includes a new, modern user interface, WAN fallback and 4G support. The new firmware is supported by all models (Ethernet, WLAN, 3G and 4G) in the product range.

Often machines and systems do not have access to a wired internet connection and therefore require a cellular connection. Using an Ewon Cosy with a 4G cellular connection allows users to access their machines even in remote locations where Ethernet is not available. If the 4G network is unstable, congested or unavailable, the connection automatically switches to 3G (HSPA/WCDMA). as
