Development platforms
Putting ideas into practice
The IoT will be one of the key topics at the RS Components stand. Platforms from Sony and Microchip will serve as demonstrators. The Design Spark team will be on hand to demonstrate the development environment and software.
The RS Components stand will be dedicated to topics such as the IoT. The platforms from Sony and Microchip will serve as demonstration objects. The Spresense Development Board from Sony is a low-power computer board. It offers many options for IoT developers, including audio output. Microchip's AVR IoT Development Board offers an easy way to develop and prototype IoT node applications. The RS DesignSpark team will be on hand to demonstrate the development environment and software provided on the platform. The team will explain the benefits and support provided by the developer community.
The portal provides the Zerynth IoT development environment for free download on the DesignSpark website. It accelerates development by providing an easy way to program 32-bit microcontrollers in Python or Hybrid C / Python and to connect them to the leading cloud infrastructures. Zerynth, in collaboration with Cypress, will be running a demonstration on the stand to show how Cypress boards can be connected to the cloud in simple Python systems and how blockchain can be used to create secure communication. A new code example enables data to be sent to the cloud in just 15 lines using simple Python.
RS will also be showing the Pi Eye, a camera based on the Raspberry Pi that enables very good 3D images to be taken at a relatively low price.
