Plug connector

Closed appearance

"NCC - Not connected closed" means "closed when unplugged". Normally, connectors only meet protection class IP67 when plugged in. If the connector is also to be "sealed" when unmated, protective caps, hinged covers or additional potting of the housing are usually required.

Rear wall mounting (left) and front wall mounting (right) of the flange socket.

With the NCC series from Binder, the IP67 flange socket fulfills this protection class even when unplugged, without the need for additional components. The contact elements of the flange part are covered by a spring-loaded cover. This cover closes off the contact area and protects it against the ingress of water, dirt and foreign bodies. This saves costs and is particularly safe thanks to the automatic closure.

Thanks to its compact, robust design and simple bayonet locking mechanism, as well as its 5,000 mating cycles, these connectors can be used in a wide range of applications, from medical technology to measurement and control technology. Previously, the flange socket was available as a front panel mounting with solder and dip solder contacts. The flange socket is attached via a thread on the inside of the device. At the beginning of 2018, the flange socket for rear panel mounting was launched on the market. as
