LTE combination modules
Paving the way to 5G
Telit's ME310G1 and ME910G1 LTE-M/NB2 combo modules are compatible with 3GPP Release 14. They enable the development of a new generation of cost-effective IoT applications and services that form the basis for the 5G mMTC standard.
The LTE Cat. M1 (1.4 MHz) / NB2 (200 kHz) combo modules from Telit enable the use of Power Saving Mode and Extended Discontinous Reception, which allows devices to wake up periodically to send small amounts of data and then immediately go back to sleep mode. Maximum Coupling Loss provides stronger coverage of up to +15dB/+20dB and better indoor penetration than previous LTE standards. The modules offer a data rate for LTE-M of up to 1 Mbps uplink (downlink up to 365 Kbps) and for NB-IoT of up to 160 Kbps (downlink up to 120 Kbps). These features make them suitable for the rapid implementation of LTE technology in applications where low costs and low energy consumption are more important than a high transmission speed.
The ME310G1 has dimensions of 14.3 x 13.1 x 2.6 mm, the ME910G1 measures 28.2 x 28.2 x 2.2 mm. Both modules support the OMA Lightweight M2M protocol and over-the-air firmware updates.
A GNSS receiver (GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo) is integrated for applications with positioning or tracking functions. Application areas include asset tracking, healthcare monitoring, smart meters, industrial sensors, home automation and portable IoT devices.
The combination modules are available from Rutronik.
