Metz Connect offers a new solution for repairing or extending 10 Gigabit/second Ethernet connections with little effort.

When maintaining, expanding or installing new network cabling, it can happen that a cable is simply too short. An intelligent, flexible and cost-effective solution for an extension is then required. This is because replacing the entire length of cable causes additional work and costs, and certain local conditions may not even permit this.

Here, the Class EA cable connector from Metz Connect offers an intelligent and flexible solution for extending or connecting data cables easily and without the use of special tools. Thanks to its compact design and the angled versions, it can be used in a wide variety of applications, even where space is limited.

With Class EA compliance, links of up to 10 gigabits/second are maintained without any problems. The cable connector is available in three versions. The variants differ in terms of cable access and outlet. The angled versions with 180, 270 and 360 degrees allow cables to be connected in a wide variety of positions and situations.

The field-attachable cable connectors are designed for 8-core cables (optionally also for 4-core cables) for connecting, extending, repairing and re-routing copper data cables up to Cat7A. They offer a compact design measuring 46.6 x 14.7 x 22.6 millimeters. The one-piece and reusable housing made of die-cast zinc is extremely robust. Installation without special tools, strain relief via a snap-in clip directly on the charging unit and intelligent cable management in the charging unit ensure ease of use. dsc
