HMS
More functions thanks to new service pack
With the latest Service Pack 1 for Ixxat Canbridge NT and Can@net NT, HMS is introducing new functions and improvements. These include the configurable execution of actions using event-triggered action rules and the cloud connection via MQTT.
With the Canbridge NT and the Can@net NT, HMS enables the simple coupling of up to four Can and/or Can FD systems. Configurable using a Windows tool, filter, ID translation, data mapping and multiplex functions are available for data exchange.
The Can@net NT also offers further functions thanks to the additional Ethernet interface. Up to four Can@net NT devices can be linked via Ethernet, allowing up to 16 Can/Can FD systems to be networked in a device network. In addition to the pure bridge functionality, the Can@net NT also offers a PC interface and gateway operating mode for accessing Can/Can-FD via the PC or embedded systems.
In response to received messages and device or Can bus status, various actions can be executed automatically, such as sending messages, changing device settings or activating device LEDs - meaning that the device status can also be controlled by a controller using NMT commands. The action rules are created via intuitive drop-down menus for events and actions in the Windows-based configuration tool for the devices.
Connection to the cloud
Whether device status or Can/Can-FD data, the MQTT protocol implemented in the Can@net NT enables information to be transmitted to the cloud - programmable via action rule lists. For example, status messages and system values can be transmitted to smartphones or cloud services in raw format or JSON format via freely available broker services and APPs.
In addition to Action Rules and MQTT, SP1 contains further functions such as customized masks for the simple creation of J1939 message filters or improvements in the area of device security.
The Service Pack 1 is part of new device deliveries. Customers already using Canbridge NT or Can@net NT devices can download the SP1 free of charge from the Ixxat website and flash it to the devices via USB and the included Windows-based configuration tool. as
