Icotek extends the clamping range of its grommets
Icotek presents its first QTMB slotted multi-range grommets. At the same time, the company is presenting new sizes of the screwless mountable Kel-Quick for pre-assembled cable entry.
The new QTMB multi-range grommet is used to insert cables with connectors using the Kel-Quick system. According to the manufacturer, the highlight is the flexibility of the multi-range grommet: the diameter of the cables to be inserted can vary by up to three millimetres. The variable clamping range is particularly useful if the exact cable diameter is not yet known before installation. The fitter remains flexible because the multi-range grommet is adaptable.
The wave cut is also intended to ensure greater tightness. With the QTMB, large cables with clamping ranges of up to 29 millimetres can be inserted for the first time.
Cover a clamping range with just seven grommets
Seven different sizes of multi-range grommets cover a clamping range of 14 to 29 millimetres and can be combined with the new Kel-Quick sizes. The QT cable grommets have been available for smaller sizes for some time. The frames in the Quick series can be mounted without screws and can be snapped into place. There are five new versions of the Kel-Quick frames.
The QTMB and the Kel-Quick insertion frames have protection class IP54. Increased strain relief is achieved by bundling with a cable tie.
With the new sizes, Icotek is expanding its product portfolio in the direction of tool-free installation. The Quick system was previously limited to cables with a diameter of up to 15 millimetres and has now been extended to up to 29 millimetres with the new QTMB grommets.
The Kel-Quick can be mounted quickly and without screws. It is fitted by snapping the frame into place. Retrofitting and service work can be carried out quickly, even during machine operation, thanks to the divisibility of the system.
According to Icotek, the QTMB / Kel-Quick can be used in a wide range of industries. The cable entry strip is used wherever a cable, whether with or without a plug, is fed through and at the same time needs to be protected against dirt, dust and liquids.
