This technology is new on the market and Data Modul is one of the first providers for the industry in Europe. The display expert has been operating a fully automated hybrid bonding machine in the extended clean room at its Weikersheim production site since May 2019.

In the classic bonding process, the touch panel, glass and display are automatically bonded and cured in liquid or dry form. Hybrid bonding is a further developed combination of the proven LOCA (liquid) and OCA (dry lamination) technologies. The advantages of the two classic methods have been combined.

Hybrid bonding is particularly suitable for high-volume projects in terms of budget and set-up times. With this process, the Munich-based display specialist is expanding its offering for its industrial customers. Furthermore, OCA and LOCA bonding machines are also being expanded at the production sites.
