Embedded World 2018
More flexibility and increased performance of industrial mainboards
Fujitsu is showcasing high performance and outstanding quality "Made in Germany" at Embedded World 2018 in Nuremberg. Fujitsu is focusing on the new industrial mainboards of the Fujitsu D3543-S and D3544-S series, which are equipped with the low-power processors of the Intel "Gemini Lake" family.
The Intel Celeron processors J4005 and J4105 as well as the Intel Silver Pentium J5005 are available. The processors have either two or four computing cores and are characterized by a low TDP value (Thermal Design Power) of 10 watts. For developers of systems with limited space, the three variants of the D3544 are particularly worth a look. They are based on the Mini-STX form factor (147 x 140 mm) and make it possible to create particularly compact systems.
Parallel to the market launch of the industrial mainboards, Fujitsu is expanding its line of proven Fujitsu Kit Solutions. To simplify the integration of the new mini-STX and mini-ITX mainboards in terms of certifications and development time for customers, Fujitsu has added two models to its kits for boxed PCs.
Another focus at Embedded World will be the semi-industrial mainboards from Fujitsu's Extended Lifecycle series. For example, the ATX mainboard D3598-B will be on display - the perfect choice for computing-intensive applications. The board is equipped with a C422 chipset from Intel and supports the manufacturer's Xeon W family processors (socket LGA2066). The D3598-B is aimed at workstations that are used in areas such as CAD/CAM, video editing and the creation of animations.
Fujitsu's industrial motherboards, which are designed for the current seventh generation of Intel Core processors ("Kaby Lake"), will also be on display. The boards in the D3433-S2, D3434-S2, D3441-S2 and D3446-S2 series complement the existing S1 line of motherboards. All motherboard models in the S1 and S2 series are available in Mini-ITX, µATX and ATX formats and support both Windows 7 and Windows 10, giving developers a wide range of options for designing embedded systems in different form factors and for individual applications.
Intelligent Edge: All processes at a glance
Visitors to Embedded World 2018 can also find out more about the Fujitsu Edge Computing Gateway and the associated Intelliedge appliance. The solution is available to customers and partners as a "boxed IPC" or Industry 4.0 application and can be tailored to individual requirements. With its help, companies can gain a comprehensive overview of all production processes and achieve a breakthrough in monitoring and management in order to optimize individual production lines and operate them at almost the same cost as mass production. cs
