Klippon Connect
Fast power distribution in the control cabinet
Weidmüller has expanded its A-series terminal block portfolio with the new A2C 35 high-current terminals for conductor cross-sections of up to 35 square millimetres.
The push-in power connection with actuating lever enables a conductor connection in seconds - simply operate the lever with a screwdriver and a long-term stable, gas-tight and vibration-proof connection is established. When the lever is closed, the conductor can be inserted directly into the clamping point without tools. The manufacturer promises that the connection ensures a high degree of flexibility during wiring while maintaining process reliability.
The high-current terminal blocks are available in different mounting variants: for DIN rail and direct mounting as well as pre-assembled feed blocks for different mains systems. The high-current terminals can also be cross-connected and tested. A two-pole additional connection enables a separate voltage tap for an emergency power supply upstream of the main switch.
With the Klippon Connect application program, tailor-made solutions can be implemented for recurring applications, especially for power supply and distribution. The new A2C 35 high-current terminal block family is a tailor-made application product for increasing productivity and safety in switch cabinet construction. Its product functions are specially adapted to the field of application - for efficiency benefits in all phases of enclosure construction.
At the heart of the A2C 35 terminal blocks is the push-in power connection, which allows flexible conductors to be wired with just one lever movement. With the power connection, several compression springs generate a high clamping effect with minimal actuation force. The impressive design ensures a vibration-proof, gas-tight and long-term stable conductor connection up to a rated cross-section of 35 square millimetres. Further characteristics are: Rated voltage 1,000 volts AC / 1,500 volts DC and a rated current of 125 amperes.
The internal standard test tap enables quick and uncomplicated testing with standard test plugs. The additional two-pole connection allows a separate voltage tap, for example as an emergency power supply upstream of the main switch, for operating a service socket and/or control cabinet lighting, as a signal tap or for looping in overvoltage protection. Another tailor-made solution is the potential distribution option for the high-current terminals. The "step-down" cross-connections allow power to be fed into terminal blocks with cross-sections of ten and 16 square millimetres. This option allows the current to be distributed quickly and easily in the control cabinet. Additional wiring is not necessary.
The A2C 35 high-current terminal blocks are available in a wide range of versions: variants for mounting rail and direct mounting on mounting plates as well as pre-assembled feed blocks designed for different network systems. Customers can choose from three-, four- and five-pole block variants, i.e. L1, L2, L3 or L1, L2, L3 and N as well as L1, L2, L3, N and PE. Prefabricated infeed blocks reduce the number of variants and storage costs. They are also quick and easy to install, either by snapping them onto a TS 35 mounting rail or screwing them onto a mounting plate using an integrated foot bracket.
Weidmüller has equipped its A2C 35 high-current terminal block family with accessories for standard-compliant assembly. When mounting terminal blocks and equipping control cabinets, the user must be able to rely on the accessories fitting perfectly. Only then will the processes function smoothly and productively. The requirements for mounting rails, cross-connections, cover plates and additional connections are correspondingly high. The accessories from the Klippon-Connect portfolio are coordinated with each other, making installation easier while complying with the required standards and safety regulations. as
