Encoding/decoding in perfection

High graphics performance is required for virtual reality or industrial image processing. Spectra is presenting the fast MI979MF mini-ITX board with a genuine 4K encoding/decoding function for this purpose. This is made possible by the AMD Radeon graphics card, which is integrated into the AMD Embedded R SoC via the 3rd generation Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture.

The AMD RX 421 processor technology allows free configuration of the power consumption in a TPD range from 12 to 35 W. The power consumption and thermal profiles can be set according to specific requirements. Three independent displays are each supplied with brilliant image quality via an HDMI and DP interface and optionally via an internal LVDS or eDP connection. Additional interfaces such as 4 x USB, 2 x Gigabit LAN and 4 x COM are provided, making it easier to integrate the board into any image processing solution.
