No dreams of the future

Digital production data acquisition

Paperless processing of customer orders and an increased efficiency rate during the work process are no longer dreams of the future thanks to production data capture via NFC/RFID technology.

The medium-sized mechanical engineering company BAM is moving with the Industry 4.0 transformation and has developed a software application for smartphones that can be used to digitize production data acquisition. Near-field communication (NFC) is used to store production and set-up times as well as additional information on NFC tags using smartphones. This ensures a seamless and precise production throughput process in which all employees have access to one and the same database using NFC technology.

There are no high costs for the digitalization of store floor data collection using NFC technology in conjunction with the app, as virtually every smartphone is already equipped with this technology. In addition, the app can be individually adapted to customer requirements. pb
