Connectors for Ethernet and Profinet
Phoenix Contact is expanding its range of circular connectors for data transmission: The new, two-part device connectors in size M8 are particularly suitable for compact devices such as SCADA operating units or camera systems.
The four-pole socket contacts are D-coded and allow data transmission at up to 100 Mbit/s (CAT5 in accordance with IEEE 802.3) in Ethernet and Profinet environments. Threaded or press-fit housings for a mechanically stable port screw connection are available for mounting in the device wall. When plugged in, the device connectors comply with protection class IP67.
Specially shielded versions are available for high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. The M8 appliance couplers are standardized in accordance with IEC standard 61076-2-114 and are suitable for currents up to four amps and voltages up to 60 volts. as
