ASi-5 Safety
New safety generation - certified and ready for use
The new safety generation of AS-Interface is always the ideal addition to ASi Safety at Work from Bihl+Wiedemann when many safe and non-safe signals are to be used under one address.
It is compatible with all previous ASi devices and components, runs in parallel on the same yellow profile cable and can be easily integrated into existing applications with the new ASi-5/ASi-3 Safety Gateways from Bihl+Wiedemann. The new ASi-5/ASi-3 fieldbus gateways with integrated ASi-5/ASi-3 safety monitor are currently available in different versions for Profinet and EtherNet/IP, some with a safe fieldbus and local I/Os.
Further variants for Ethernet/IP, Sercos, EtherCAT and Powerlink are currently being developed. In addition to functional improvements, the new ASi-5 safety gateway generation features a modern chip card. A complete project can now be stored on it. In conjunction with the first ASi-5 safety input modules, for example, the connection of an operating panel to ASi can be implemented cost-effectively.
