Critical processes in production in particular require an immediate and direct response. In the event of a breakdown or malfunction, the person responsible needs this information immediately in order to take countermeasures. A high degree of automation of the production storage system is a mandatory prerequisite for this. The machine independently reports (possible) damage in real time (or a predictive warning) and sends this information directly to the leading ERP (SAP). A corresponding message is generated there and sent to the maintenance employee's mobile device. Furthermore, continuous real-time queries of the machine data can also be made via the app so that current production statuses (good quantities and rejects) can always be viewed on the move.

Mobile maintenance

The Membrain PAS PM maintenance solution has been specially developed for simple, fast and mobile handling of maintenance, servicing and service processes in industry. It is characterized by its performance, maximum scalability and intuitive operability. The standardized interface to SAP PM/CS enables the use of all SAP standard functions, but the flexibility of the solution also means that it can be adapted to individual processes in a very short space of time. Orders, notifications and checklists can be displayed, created or edited. Maintenance orders can be processed on the mobile device with just a few clicks.

In addition, the online/offline mode allows users to work continuously and efficiently from anywhere in the company. Every booking is carried out securely. The mobile solution is scalable to support additional processes and can be expanded to a complete store floor system.

Connection to the SAP Cloud

The Membrain RTC communication server has recently been integrated into the SAP Cloud Platform. Membrain relies on the SAP Cloud Platform SDK for native iOS for its app development. The integration of the Membrain infrastructure into the SAP Cloud Platform also enables the creation of smartphone applications for SAP on-premise systems. This means that mobile device management (MDM) systems, for example, are no longer required to ensure access to any SAP systems from a smartphone. Special connectors from Membrain enable further scalability for mapping mobile processes. as
