Advantech and Aaronn Elecronic expand partnership
Aaronn Electronic will support Advantech's IoT cloud platform WISE-PaaS in Europe. The cloud platform enables users to implement cloud-based IoT business models.
With WISE-PaaS,Advantech offers an IoT cloud platform designed for industrial requirements. WISE stands for "Wu Intelligence Solution Embedded", whereby the Chinese word Wu can be translated as both fog and things. As a platform-as-a-service, it provides edge-to-cloud software services and helps users to quickly develop their own IoT solutions. Asset management, which is provided as DeviceOn, also allows devices to be monitored, managed and, if necessary, controlled remotely. Users can also use it to read data in and out and transfer it securely.
"If you want to keep up with the rapid developments in the IoT environment, companies cannot always completely reinvent the wheel. It makes sense to use existing services for data acquisition, transmission, evaluation and visualization and to focus on those aspects where individual added value can be created," summarizes Aaronn Managing Director Florian Haidn. "Advantech offers the platform for this with WISE-PaaS and we provide the support for implementation with our expertise."
Until now, the IoT cloud platform WISE-Paas was only available to Advantech customers in Asia. The Taiwanese company has been offering the software and services for some time. In Europe, however, users were skeptical. Haidn: "We have been observing WISE PaaS for some time. Many of our customers also found the offering interesting, but were previously hesitant to use it in a global cloud. However, as it is now also offered from a data center in the EU, it is a matter of course for us as one of Advantech's most successful sales partners and system integrators in Germany for many years to support companies in implementing their IoT and digitalization projects quickly and efficiently with WISE-PaaS."
