Medtracker from Atlantic Zeiser is a software solution for serialization and traceability in the pharmaceutical industry. It can be used to manage unique serial numbers across locations and companies.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers must ensure that the serial numbers they use are unique worldwide, across all sites. Most companies that operate more than one plant will have no choice but to set up a database management system specifically for ISA Level 4, i.e. for the company level. Solutions for the line and site level, i.e. for levels 1 to 3, are generally not suitable for this.
Medtracker from Atlantic Zeiser is one of the few software solutions that meet these challenges. The modular structure of the software is designed to enable implementation across complete lines, production facilities or entire companies. In contrast to many common software offerings, Medtracker is a generic database application with the full functionality of a production management platform, in which all process steps and functions of hardware modules or entire packaging lines required for serialization can be relatively freely defined, monitored and, above all, adapted at any time, usually without programming effort, explained the manufacturer.
Connection to ERP systems
An important aspect in the mapping of processes at company level is the connection of ERP systems at both level 3 and level 4. Medtracker has a large number of predefined and validated interfaces that can be adapted to the individual circumstances and processes of each company. Communication with external partners in the logistics or process chain, such as contract packers or packaging printers, is also an important aspect. Here too, the software solution supports standards such as Epcis and many more.
