RFID label for containers

Globalization and digitalization in the logistics industry make it necessary to further develop RFID-based container management for all container types along the entire supply chain.

Schreiner Protech unveiled its new RFID-Distaferr-Global-Label for container identification, which has been optimized for worldwide use and specifically for metal containers. A large number of metal containers are used in logistics, which are shipped, processed and recorded across continents. However, conventional UHF RFID labels cannot be read on metal. Special labels optimized for metal, on the other hand, are optimized for one of the two globally common frequencies - either ETSI in Europe or FCC in the NAFTA region and Asia. This means that the label can only be detected in one of the two ranges. Objects that move between continents cannot be read in the other frequency range. The new label is also available in a version for longer reading ranges. pb
