Pallet labeler
New with rotating dispensing stamp
Shipping label, content information, warnings: Some pallets not only have to be labeled with numerous different contents or in different places. The formats of the labels can also vary.
In the past, several labelers were often used for pallets that had to be labeled in portrait and landscape format as well as at an angle. This is no longer necessary: thanks to its rotating dispensing pad, the new Legi-Air AP 182 RT pallet labeler from labelling provider Bluhm Systeme can rotate labels into three different positions before applying them to the pallets.
Pallet labeling next level
At the same time, the Legi-Air AP 182 RT (just like the AP 182) ensures that pallets can be labeled at different points on one and the same packing line: with two different labels on one side, GS1-compliant on two adjacent sides or on three different sides. The device can be triggered individually by each pallet and activates one of seven pre-programmed travel paths in sequence. In this way, it can even realize end-of-pallet marking in a narrow gap between two products. This is made possible by an applicator that is moved via linear axes using a stepper motor drive.
Fast and safe
The Legi-Air AP 182 achieves top speeds of 120 pallets per hour for two-sided labeling and 90 pallets per hour for three-sided labeling. It only requires two pallet stops for three-sided labeling. The labels are printed by an integrated print module. Modules from various manufacturers are available. The label material can be up to DIN A5 format (according to EAN128 standard in portrait format). The use of rolls with a diameter of 350 millimetres ensures the greatest possible production time.
Design without safety fence
Completely enclosed and equipped with an automatic closing slide, the system is well protected against dust and other adverse production influences. Thanks to its intrinsically safe design, the AP 182 does not require a protective enclosure. This not only saves space, but also reduces costs and effort for the customer. The rectangular housing of the pallet labeler consists of a profile frame construction which, with the exception of the transparent side door, is enclosed by stainless steel sheets. Furthermore, substructures are available in various heights to suit the respective conveyor technology.
The rewinding and unwinding unit and print module can be moved and are easily accessible for quick and easy material changes. Thanks to standardized interfaces, the system can be integrated easily and without much effort on the signal and data side. If service or maintenance is required, the widespread Bluhm Systeme service team is on hand to provide expert support.
