Mobile computer with Google certification
Cipherlab has introduced the new RS51 mobile computer series. The further development offers faster, more precise and upgradeable data acquisition and meets Google's requirements for certification as a rugged device as part of the Android Enterprise Recommended program.
The RS51 is a device optimized for Android Enterprise. Users receive support for several versions of the operating system over the course of the product life cycle. With a Qualcomm octa-core CPU and a memory of 2/4 GB RAM, the RS51 is particularly suitable for field service applications. The device is currently equipped with the Android 8.0 operating system and, thanks to the possibility of upgrading, will always be up to date with the latest software, at least up to version Android 10.
Thanks to the robust nature of the RS51, Cipherlab has also received the MADA (Mobile Application Distribution Agreement) license from Google. In addition, the user-friendly design facilitates effortless one-handed operation. The solution concept offers various functions for data capture, such as a 1D/2D barcode reader as well as NFC and RFID functions. In addition, the option of wireless internet connection in and out of the office simplifies operation and enables direct communication in real time.
The RS51 includes a range of Cipherlab software applications such as ReMoCloud, Android Deployment Configurator, Wireless Mobile Deployment System and BarcodeToSetting to simplify device management and configuration. Its 4.7-inch display with automatically controlled backlighting can also be read in sunlight. In addition to the multi-touch panel and intuitive, user-friendly smartphone operation, the RS51 has a powerful battery that lasts the whole working day. The RS51 is robust, scratch-resistant, waterproof and dustproof, so that the device can also be used in demanding environments.
The RS51 series has already been validated for Android Enterprise Recommended (AER) and included in the list of recommended rugged mobile computers. This means that the RS51 series complies with the requirements of the AER program, which includes the provision of security updates within 90 days. The mobile computer also meets the requirements for zero-touch registration. This makes it possible to deploy company-owned devices on a larger scale without having to set up each new device manually. as
