Laser marker
Efficient with a short pulse
The technical highlight from SIC Marking is the i103 HD laser, a new laser marker that can be used to create direct markings more precisely on all metal and plastic parts.
The use of a short-pulse fiber laser is responsible for this. The technical highlight of the short-pulse fiber laser is that it can apply more and more targeted energy to the material with the same nominal power. The material is therefore only heated selectively and less overall, and the area of the zone affected by the heat generated is reduced. As the material is not burnt or sunk, the contours are sharper and therefore easier to read. This is a decisive step forward, especially with plastics.
The laser's marking windows are either 60 x 60, 100 x 100 or 170 x 170 millimeters in size. The HD laser is air-cooled and has an output of 20 watts. It can be fully integrated into the production process and can be used so flexibly that the device can be used in a wide range of applications. The compact dimensions of the marking head make it easy to install and the wide range of communication options help with integration into higher-level industrial networks. The systems are equipped with digital I/O, Ethernet TCP/IP and RS232. as
