RFID for ESD
The leap into Industry 4.0 can only be achieved through data-driven and end-to-end communication in production, assembly and logistics. A decisive factor here is intelligent, RFID-based container management for all container types along the entire supply chain.
This enables complete bulk detection, seamless batch tracking at container level and optimized empties management thanks to real-time inventory information. The challenges here are the different container sizes and especially containers made of ESD materials, on which conventional RFID labels do not work optimally. Schreiner Protech has therefore expanded its ESD RFID label family to include the "((rfid))-DistaFerr ESD LongRange Label".
The new label is specially designed for ESD containers of all variants and antistatic levels and has a read range of around seven meters. Another new product is a hybrid label that combines NFC technology with RFID UHF technology. The RFID label allows both reading over long ranges in production and logistics as well as reading via cell phone at the customer's premises. as
