Legi-Air 6000 from Bluhm
Labeling with height difference
According to manufacturer Bluhm, the high-performance Legi-Air 6000 labeler labels cartons of different heights with above-average speed and precision: It can easily handle up to 2250 cycles per hour with a DIN A 6 label format and a product height difference of 500 millimetres.
The labeler with servo-motor-driven dispensing applicator achieves such performance: after a sensor has determined the height of the incoming product to be labeled in advance, the applicator moves to the correct position at lightning speed. This shortens the travel distance during the labeling process; at the same time, the pressure dispenser labels more accurately and up to 50 percent faster than a labeler with a pneumatically operated cylinder.
This is supported by the consistent lightweight construction with carbon fiber components for the moving parts. The applicator is around 80 percent lighter than a conventional model. Another advantage: as the dispensing applicator is moved purely servo-electrically without compressed air, costs are saved. Compressed air is only used to apply the label using the tamp-blow method.
The control is cost and space optimized by a microprocessor control. There is no need for a separate control cabinet, meaning that the compact device can be easily integrated into production environments. Downtimes and maintenance costs are also lower: Legi-Air 6000 can process large rolls with a diameter of up to 350 millimetres, which means 600 meters of label stock. This increases system availability until the next roll change.
The industrial print modules used in the labeler comply with the latest printing technology. Thanks to the special design, the most important parts are also easily accessible for servicing or maintenance. Thanks to its modular design, the labeler can be individually adapted to the respective requirements. as
