Solenoid valves

Andreas Mühlbauer,

More versatile and safer

With the LVM series, SMC already offers a wide range of compact and directly actuated 2/2 and 3/2-way solenoid valves and has now added a tube and two flange versions to the wide range of variants.

In addition to the insulated design, low power consumption and low dead volume, they also offer a visual display of the switching status and versions with an electrical plug connection. To prevent the armature from sticking or corrosion on the valve and to avoid contamination of the medium, the actuator housing of the coil is separated from the medium area by a diaphragm in all variants of the LVM series.

Thanks to a toggle valve, there is hardly any change in volume between the on and off status, which means that no medium is displaced on the outlet side of the valve when switching. In addition, the two new variants LVM09 as a pipe version and LVM13 as a flange version have an operating indicator and protective circuit.
