Screw vacuum pumps

Andreas Mühlbauer,

More power and lower energy consumption

Leybold has introduced the Dryvac DV 500 and DV 800 screw vacuum pumps. The pumps compress dry, i.e. without operating fluid in the compression chamber.

The pumps from Leybold are therefore well suited as backing pumps in food packaging as well as in pumping stations in heat treatment or coating systems. Thanks to their screw design with specially adapted variable pitch, they operate very efficiently due to their low power consumption. Compared to oil-lubricated vacuum pumps, they require little maintenance and are highly compatible with particles and condensate.

The DV 800 is based on the Dryvac DV platform and offers high suction power and energy efficiency. Both pumps are equipped with an easily adaptable and networkable frequency converter and IE3 motors. Monitoring via a cloud platform can also be implemented on request and will be available as standard from Q3.
