With the new ISO locking cylinder of the CP96N and C96N series, SMC offers a solution for greater process reliability, even in tight installation spaces.

The cylinders provide greater flexibility thanks to their two-part design - locking unit and cylinder - and both components can be used separately. Piston diameters are available from 32 to 100 mm, and the length has been reduced by up to 27.5 mm compared to the previous model. This means that a working stroke can also be integrated in tight spaces. The locking unit is detachably connected to the cylinder.

The positioning accuracy is in the range of ±1 mm at a supply pressure of 0.5 MPa and a piston speed of 300 mm/s.
