Centrifugal and shredder pump
In addition to the KTS screw pump, Knoll develops and produces numerous centrifugal pumps that are used in metalworking for pumping cooling lubricants and chips. The relevant portfolio of clean media, dirty media and shredder pumps enables volume flows of up to 1,600 l/min, pressures of up to 6 bar and particle sizes of up to 20 mm.
The latest development is the TSC 50 shredder pump, which is equipped with a semi-open radial impeller and a cutting device that shreds long aluminum chips to a pumpable size of around 10 to 20 mm. The optimum application range is 300 to 500 l/min. The TSK 50 dirty media pump, which is also new, is almost identical in design, but lacks the shredder. Instead, it has an inducer, which reduces the risk of cavitation. The two pumps are interchangeable and conversion kits are available.
