Compressed air specialist and high-tech company
Beko Technologies enters into partnership with OptiMEAS
Neuss-based compressed air specialist Beko Technologies has acquired a minority stake in OptiMEAS Measurement and Automation Systems from Friedrichsdorf im Taunus in order to expand its expertise in IIoT and cloud technologies.
"Networked technologies and the intelligent use of data are also increasingly in demand in the field of compressed air technology," says Norbert Strack, one of the two Managing Directors of Beko Technologies. "Together with our new strategic partner OptiMEAS, we want to show how IoT and cloud technologies can be used in compressed air technology," continues Strack.
OptiMEAS Measurement and Automation Systems is a manufacturer and service provider for mobile internet-based data acquisition, tracking and monitoring as well as automation and technical software development. With Industry 4.0-capable software, hardware and cloud solutions, the company serves applications in various industrial sectors. "We are delighted to have a company with operational, strategic and financial strength at our side in Beko Technologies," says Burkhard Schranz, Managing Partner of OptiMEAS.
Pilot project for networking the Everdry compressed air dryer
In an initial collaboration, the two companies have equipped an Everdry compressed air dryer from Beko Technologies with a SmartMINI monitoring system from the new partner and integrated it into an IIoT and cloud environment. The system transmits operating statuses - such as operating hours and opening cycles of the flaps - as well as measured values and wear data to the cloud and visualizes the data in real time. "With OptiMEAS' expertise, we are increasing our capacities in research and development and projecting this knowledge into new areas of application. A first step towards Industry 4.0 is the development of the Metpoint MEQ, which we presented as a prototype at this year's Hannover Messe. Further innovations are planned, which we will initiate together with our new partner optiMEAS," reports Strack.
