A quicker instinct
A complete update of Optoforce's application software enables lightweight robots from Universal Robots to complete automation tasks even faster and with even higher quality when using Optoforce sensors. The update also further reduces the integration time required for the touch sensors.
The six-axis touch sensors from the Hungarian company Optoforce give industrial robots the sensitivity to perform tasks that previously required human dexterity. According to the manufacturer, the sensors can not only be used flexibly for various applications, but are also easy to implement thanks to an integrated software package. Programming knowledge is not necessary.
The new software version is compatible with all models of the Hex-E and Hex-H sensors and offers particular advantages in surface processing applications, such as polishing or deburring: The speed, exercised with maximum consistency, leads to a higher quality standard. In addition, lightweight robots from Universal Robots can now follow any type of surface shape more precisely. This is made possible by spline shaft movements and a constant torque. Integration and use of the sensors and software modules should remain as intuitive as before. as
