Intralogistics - efficient and active
Bosch Rexroth has presented an autonomous transport system that aims to automate and standardize the flow of materials and goods in logistics and production.
It is called "Active Shuttle" and promises robust, efficient and fully automated transport of loads weighing up to 260 kilograms. The Active Shuttle management system ensures optimum control of the entire system and is designed to create greater transparency in intralogistics. It transports floor rollers loaded with small load carriers through the factory. The floor rollers are loaded or unloaded fully automatically using an integrated lifting platform, taking logistical requirements into account. Various transport concepts can be implemented with the Active Shuttle - from cyclical transports to consumption-controlled material supply. The transport system can be integrated into the intralogistics system via plug-and-go without having to adapt the factory's existing infrastructure. In conjunction with the Active Shuttle Management System, the certified safety laser scanners ensure safe and robust navigation in mixed operation. Even when other transport vehicles are in use at the same time and people are present, the vehicle fits into the busy intralogistics environment. Changes in the driving area are no problem thanks to automatic map updating. The transport operation has already been extensively tested in eight plants. pb
