MiR shows its most powerful model
Mobile Industrial Robots will be demonstrating its mobile robots for internal material flow in action at Logimat. In addition, the most powerful collaborative transport robot, the new MiR1000 model, will be driving in front of trade fair visitors in Germany for the first time.
"In internal logistics, many repetitive tasks are still carried out manually today," explains Jörg Faber, Sales Director DACH and Benelux at MiR. "We still see a lot of automation potential there. Our robots take over transport tasks and relieve workers in favor of more demanding work."
Expanded range of applications
In the summer, the manufacturer launched an upgrade of the MiR100 and MiR200 models with additional safety functions. More powerful variants are also expanding the range of applications: "In 2018, we launched the MiR500, the first robot for automated pallet transport," reports Faber. "The MiR1000 pushes the boundaries of what is possible even further by automatically transporting loads of up to one tonne." After celebrating its premiere at Automate 2019 in Chicago, the MiR1000 can now be seen for the first time at a German trade fair.
MiR will be showcasing its latest models at Logimat. Visitors can see for themselves how the robots navigate autonomously: Using proximity sensors, laser scanners and 3D cameras, they maneuver freely and safely alongside humans. The manufacturer also emphasizes the intuitive operability and rapid implementation of its robots. Their purchase often pays for itself within a year, making them affordable for smaller companies too. as
