The user-friendliness of Kassow Robots also enables medium-sized companies to implement complex automation and programming flexibly, cost-effectively and independently without the need for highly trained robot specialists.

"The development of robots and the entrepreneurial spirit have never let go of me," emphasizes Kristian Kassow, who co-founded another robotics company in 2004 that is now one of the global market leaders. "Now, as Kassow Robots, we are in the starting blocks and are presenting our seven-axis cobots with joint speeds of up to 225 degrees per second for the first time."

Kassow Robots will present the KR 810 (850 millimeter reach and ten kilogram payload), KR 1205 (1,200 millimeter reach and five kilogram payload) and KR 1805 (1,800 millimeter reach and five kilogram payload) cobots. The first two models, KR 810 and KR 1205, are now going into production. With the KR 1805 model, the Danish start-up already has the next cobot ready for the end of 2018.

Cobots for SMEs

Behind Kassow Robots is a team of three founders with core competencies in development, production and global sales. Founded in 2014, the start-up's long-term vision is to help SMEs in particular to become even more competitive in industrial production with a very broad range of cobot models. To achieve this, the company wants to gradually build up a network of system integrators. The start-up sees broad areas of application for its products. "System integrators and end customers should decide how and where they want to use our cobots. Classic applications certainly include the loading and unloading of machines in metalworking, pick & place or palletizing, smaller assembly tasks, test applications, quality control, gluing applications," explains Dieter Pletscher, Head of Sales at Kassow Robots since March 2018. as
