Peter Pühringer succeeds Gerald Vogt

Peter Pühringer takes over the management of Stäubli Robotics Bayreuth from Gerald Vogt, who as Group Division Manager manages the global robotics business from Stäubli's headquarters in Faverges.

Pühringer will take over the business for the German, Austrian and Scandinavian markets. The 42-year-old engineer trained as a toolmaker before studying automation and process technology. He began his career in robotics at Robert Bosch and moved to Bayreuth in 2005 when Stäubli took over the Scara series from Bosch Rexroth.

As Division Manager Robotics, Pühringer wants to consistently continue the aggressive expansion policy of his predecessor and score points in the area of services at the Bayreuth site, according to the press release. It is important to him "to further develop our robot range in the direction of new market segments and applications, whereby we are also focusing on the topic of mobile robotics. We are currently launching a new product for mobile applications," said Pühringer. as
