Robot cell for CNC machine loading

Easy Robotics presents its new intelligent solution Profeeder Q, which is designed to simplify the loading of CNC machines with the help of a transportable robot cell, a robot arm and gripper as well as a mobile transport container for workpieces.

The system consists of a compact robot cell that can be easily transported by pallet truck, a robot arm and gripper as well as a mobile transport container for four drawers with workpieces. This trolley simplifies the user's production process as more parts can be transported from the warehouse to the CNC machine. When two interchangeable trolleys are in use, set-up times, which account for a large proportion of working time, are significantly reduced.

The four easily interchangeable drawers can hold different elements, which the robot can reach independently and feed to a machine. Workpieces weighing up to eight kilograms, 160 millimetres high and 90 millimetres wide can be individually prepared on interchangeable perforated plates in the drawers.

"We observed the market and realized that there was a lack of a robot cell that could both change the drawers independently and load machines," says Per Lachenmaier, CEO of Easy Robotics. "The transport container is used to move the drawers. Moving them in and out of the robot cell is quick and easy, allowing users to prepare and automate long production runs or unattended night shifts with maximum flexibility. We call this plug-and-produce."

Machine loading reduced to two hours

EME Hydraulic produces cylinders for agriculture and industry in Egernsund, Denmark. After investing in a robot system from Easy Robotics, the company was able to reduce the time spent by one employee on machine loading from 16 hours to just two. "The Profeeder Q allows us to carry out other special tasks while the robot works independently," reports Jesper Østergaard, Managing Director of the company. The payback period was less than a year.

The robot cell comes with a range of solutions for the control panel, a side table and other accessories. Equipped as standard with a UR10 robot arm from Universal Robots and an RG6 gripper from OnRobot, the Profeeder Q enables collaborative, flexible production. It is also compatible with robots from other manufacturers and other grippers. It can therefore be equipped according to individual requirements. The Profeeder Q is now available worldwide from all Easy Robotics sales partners. as
