Platform calculates cobot risk

What has so far made the use of cobots complex are the applicable framework conditions in terms of safety and risk assessment. There are currently no generally applicable risk and hazard assessments available, which makes the individual assessment of a collaborative workstation time-consuming.

In order to shorten this assessment process for SMEs, but at the same time put it on a secure footing from the outset, the start-up Coboworx has developed a template together with TÜV Rheinland. The assessment method is based on the CE software Safexpert from ibf in Austria, which queries the relevant application criteria for the specific customer application in a targeted and structured manner. The user receives a risk assessment for their planned application - including technical documentation - with time savings of 50 percent or more. The Coboworx platform offers yet another feature: the chatbot. Interested parties enter the key data of the task to be automated, describe the task in their own words and, if available, send photos or videos to the Coboworx Wizzard. In addition, Coboworx has developed an ROI calculator that allows interested parties to check how long it would take for an investment in robot automation to pay off.
