The first variant of the T-series has a load capacity of three kilograms and a reach of 400 millimeters. Users can choose between four different models: According to the manufacturer, the Scaras in the Epson G3 series are characterized by precision, speed and vibration-free travel. The Epson RS3 Scaras are used in systems where optimum utilization of the available space is important, and the LS3 systems offer a good balance of all requirements at reasonable prices.

The T-Series rounds off the range as an entry-level model. Volker Spanier, Head of Robotic Solutions at Epson Germany, explains: "With the T-Series, users realize all the benefits of a flexible and easy-to-install automation solution with Scara robots, without the costs getting out of hand. This also means that the system can be amortized within a short period of time. The reliable design of the T-series with standard assemblies ensures reliable operation and simple programming. Our first customer projects are aimed precisely at this segment and show that there is a high level of acceptance for machines of this type. We will therefore be expanding our portfolio with larger models in the near future."

The T3 offers an end sensor I/O port and a short, stable cable bridge for easy connection to external components.

With these machines, solutions are now also available for work that could not previously be covered for cost reasons. Thanks to its compact form and simple handling, the T3 series is also able to replace systems with linear axes and thus generate noticeable cost benefits for such systems in the medium term. The machines in the Epson Scara T3 series will be available from April 2018 via the usual purchasing channels. sw
