Mini factory for masks
The two Berlin-based companies Pi4 Robotics and Mikron have launched an unusual collaboration. The result: the RespiratorBot. Pi4 Robotics is a manufacturer of robots that produce products independently and sell them directly.
Mikron specializes in production systems for large quantities. The RespiratorBot is a mini-factory complete with salesperson - almost entirely without human staff. It fits into a normal sea freight container and can be transported and set up in exactly the same way. Depending on the setting, the system can offer packs of 10 or individual masks - neatly shrink-wrapped and in printed bags and boxes on request. All masks have a nose clip and a middle layer made of special meltblown material. They can be certified as a medical device by the customer. A single RespiratorBot produces more than two million units per month. as
