Robot sets itself up

For the first time, Preccon Robotics is presenting the iMS (intelligent Measurement System) developed by the company as an upgrade for industrial robots. It gives robots the ability to set themselves up independently and automatically.

At the same time, the increased degree of flexibility makes it easier and therefore more cost-effective to adapt the measuring system to customer requirements. The first automated production line with nine independently teach-in robots is currently being planned for a customer in the automotive industry. In addition to Stäubli, the system has also been successfully used with robots from Kuka and ABB since this year. As the first doctor for robots, the iMS recognizes any deviation from the ideal state in the production process and intervenes before the system comes to a standstill. as
