With the CRX-10iA, manufacturer Fanuc is adding a particularly lightweight HRC solution to its product range.

The lightweight robot establishes a new class of industrial robots that work hand in hand with production workers. Compared to the existing CR series of collaborative robots from Fanuc, the new CRX-10iAis significantly lighter and can therefore be used for easy installation in a variety of applications, for example as a handling unit on automated guided vehicles (AGVs).

In addition, the teach pendant for the CRX-10iA can be replaced by a tablet computer, which increases ease of use thanks to a special new user interface. The new user interface is particularly suitable for users with little programming experience thanks to its intuitive operation.

Simple functions and programming

The new product is aimed at customers who want to use robots in their production for the first time. While customers in the automotive industry have already highly automated their production, demand from small and medium-sized companies is constantly increasing. The CRX-10iAis available in two versions: A short-arm version with a reach of 1.2 meters and a long-arm version whose arm reaches up to 1.4 meters. The load capacity is 10 kilograms in each case. While all six models of the existing "green" CR series of collaborative FANUC robots are based on the company's proven industrial robots, the newcomer is the starting signal for a new product series. Like the products from the "green" CR series, it can be equipped with a vision system that enables the autonomous loading and unloading of containers or shelving systems, for example. dsc
