Fully automatic sorting and packaging
Everything from a single source: Kawasaki Robotics presents how sorting, packaging, palletizing and labeling can be automated.
At Fachpack, Kawasaki Robotics will be presenting the latest developments and solutions for fully automated packaging processes in production. Using a fully networked system based on several Kawasaki robots, the manufacturer, together with its partners dmp Sondermaschinenbau and Rea Label, will demonstrate how sorting, packaging, palletizing and labeling can be automated.
In the first step, Sanosan brand cream jars are fed onto a conveyor belt: The YF002N pick & place robot, which is equipped with 2D camera recognition, determines the position of the cans and places them on a conveyor belt. An RS005L high-speed robot moves the placed cans to a buffer station for further packaging.
In the second step, two RS007Ls are used: the first robot removes a folding carton from a magazine, erects it and places the products in several layers. The filled folding carton is transported to the next position via a conveyor belt, where it is closed by the second RS007L and placed in a reusable box. The boxes are removed from the packaging cell by an RS020N robot and placed on a pallet in the required format.
Finally, the fully loaded pallet is labeled with the automated K-Label labeling system. The entire system is connected to the Kawasaki Trend Manager: The predictive maintenance tool provides all relevant data from the robots in real time. as
