Change processes flexibly
Flexible production with machine intelligence
At Omron, visitors to the Hannover Messe will experience how robots and machines work together seamlessly so that production processes can be changed easily. Also on show again: a new version of the Forpheus table tennis robot.
In the demonstration, mobile and fixed robots work together and complete orders that are entered in the MMS on site or via OPC UA data transfer in a tablet computer. With this integrated solution, Omron shows how machine intelligence, from the individual processing level to the overall system level, enables flexible manufacturing processes that meet increasingly complex customer requirements.
Through meticulous data collection, processing and visualization, quality issues can be traced back to machine level. Omron controllers can record various information in an SQL database locally or in the cloud. This can then be used for preventive maintenance.
Omron will also be showing the new version of the Forpheus table tennis robot and a driver condition monitoring sensor for autonomous vehicles. Forpheus is now able to serve, predict smashes and even communicate to make the table tennis experience even more positive. The driver condition monitoring sensor for autonomous vehicles determines whether the driver is able to control the vehicle themselves. as
