New integration partner
Essert integrates Variobotic into its robotic workstation
Essert is a new integration partner of Variobotic. With the integration of the Varioshaker 270, the flexible component separator has recently found its place in the Advanced Robotic Workstation, a robot platform consisting of standardized modules.
Essert's Advanced Robotic Workstation is a standardized robot platform consisting of software and hardware components. The main advantages of the solution are easy integration into the overall structure of production systems and flexible adaptation to constantly changing products or processes.
The components, such as an industrial robot, the material removal system or even the basic module of the workstation, can be freely selected. A selection of the individual components and the composition can be compiled and requested directly via an online configurator from Essert.
As a link between vision systems and robots, the flexible Varioshaker component separator is suitable for integration into complete systems such as the Advanced Robotic Workstation. Thanks to its I/O interface, the component separator can be adapted to almost any robot and can be put into operation without expert knowledge thanks to the integrated Ethernet interface and the web-based Shakerconfig software.
The Varioshaker can separate small parts through targeted movement, collection and shattering. Different vibrating plates with different surfaces allow the shaker to adapt to different geometries of small parts. The vibrating plates can be exchanged in a few simple steps.
According to the manufacturer Variobotic, the Varioshaker is particularly suitable for use in small and medium-sized businesses, which often have to deal with small order sizes and different components. Compared to conventional systems, it is easy to set up and configure and is robust and uncomplicated to operate.
Integration of the Varioshaker into the Advanced Robotic Workstation
Essert fully integrated the Varioshaker into the Advanced Robotic Workstation in terms of hardware and software. In addition to the mechanical adaptation with the platform, the software was also integrated into the human-machine interface operating panel. Thanks to the integration into the workstation, the Varioshaker can be used in combination with other robots such as the Stäubli TX2-60. Safety aspects for safely stopping all functions in an emergency have also been taken into account. as
